Women’s Support Group
A Safe and Supportive Space for Women
At Let’s Talk Counselling, we understand how isolating and overwhelming it can feel when someone close to you has engaged in harmful sexual behaviour or child exploitation material offences. This support group has been created to provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space for women navigating these incredibly difficult circumstances.
Whether the person involved is a partner, sibling, son, or friend, you are not alone.
Who Is This Group For?
This group is for women who have been impacted by the offending behaviour of someone close to them, including:
- A partner
- Son
- Sibling
- Family member
- Friend
The group provides an opportunity to connect with others who understand, ask questions, share experiences, and receive support in a confidential environment.
A Safe, Respectful & Confidential Space
We understand how important confidentiality and emotional safety are within the group environment. To help create this safe space:
- Only first names are used during sessions
- Zoom participants are asked to ensure surnames are not visible on screen
- We encourage participants joining online to use headphones and attend from a private location
- Group discussions remain confidential and respectful at all times
There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with. Some women attend simply to listen and know they are not alone.
What to Expect
Each session is facilitated in a gentle and supportive way and usually includes:
- A brief mindfulness exercise
- A group “check in”
- Open discussion and shared support
- A closing “check out” and self-care reflection
When new members attend, additional time is given for introductions and sharing personal experiences so everyone feels welcomed and supported.

You Are Welcome Here
Free Support. Ongoing Connection. A Safe Place to Be Heard.
Participation in the group is completely free, and women are welcome to attend as often as they need. There is no limit to the number of sessions you can join, and you are always welcome to return after taking a break. This group exists to provide understanding, support, and connection during what can be an incredibly challenging and isolating time.
Some women choose to obtain a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from their GP so attendance can be bulk billed. This helps support the ongoing running of the group and does not affect Medicare rebates for individual counselling sessions. Donations are also welcome, but never expected.
If you would like to attend, ask a question, or find out the next group date, please get in touch with Nagaro.
You do not have to go through this alone.
